“Took my 20 Month old Maine Coon cat Cleo to see Jemma. I was a bit unsure as I had never her groomed before so wasnt sure what to expect and how Cleo would be. Jemma was great explained everything in detail with what she was going to do and how she was going to do it.”
“Jemma did an amazing job grooming my Springer Spaniel, Norman. She is so patient, friendly and clearly has a real love for the animals she looks after. Norman came back looking so smart, smelling lovely and most importantly, he was happy and relaxed.”
“Zeus' first ever groom at just over 1 year old - I've been too nervous previously as he doesn't enjoy being brushed, bathed, or having his paws or face touched. Jemma had him in for the nervous dog package and amazingly she got so much further with him than I thought possible”
“Throughout her stay, Jemma kept us updated with cute pictures, which was so reassuring. When we picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and honestly, I think she would've stayed longer if she could!”
“Claude is not patient with me when brushing so I knew it's time for professional help. … Jemma explained everything and made him feel very comfortable.”
“We took our double-coated dog, Finn, for a groom with Jemma at Doggylicious - as it was shedding season! Jemma did a wonderful job, super professional and listened to what we did/did not want”
FAQs
Yes, cats are groomed here as well as dogs, from Maine Coons to British Shorthairs. Owners are talked through what will be done before it starts.
Plenty of dogs and cats here are having their first groom, some of them well into older age. There is a nervous dog package, and the work goes at the pace the animal sets.
Anxious pets are a regular part of the day, and the nervous dog package exists for exactly this. Tell Jemma what your dog struggles with and she will work with it rather than against it.
Owners get pictures and updates during the stay. Photos and videos are also shared from grooming appointments so you can see how your pet was throughout.
Your dog stays in Jemma's home in Churchdown rather than in kennels. Ask for the details of what a stay involves when you get in touch.
Doggylicious is at 6 Tallis Rd, Churchdown, Gloucester GL3 1LX. Monday to Friday is 9am to 5pm, Saturday is 10am to 2pm, and Sunday is closed.
